My Sewing & Craft Room

Cathie Recca shares a workroom with her daughter in the their basement of their home.  The room has no windows so they painted the cement floor white and the walls a buttery yellow and installed natural light flourescent bulbs. Each has their own work tables and storage space.

This Month’s New Guidelines

6.141 Invisible Thread
Gone are the days of stiff and wiry thread that poked sensitive skin. Today's invisible thread is soft and light so that you see the results of using it, but you don’t see the thread itself.

13.105 Multi-Sized Patterns
Do you wear one size on the type and a different size on the bottom? Then a multi-sized pattern is right for you. Learn how to work with multi-sized patterns in this informative Guideline.

Guidelines are one- and two-page educational articles in pdf format. View the entire catalog of Guidelines — they’re your Guide to Successful Sewing!
