Elegant, Dressy Cargo Jeans

Cargo jeans from Wrights @ www.wrights.comChange ordinary pants into Haute Couture Jeans for mere pennies! Dress up your jeans with just some blanket binding and floral trim. It's easy and a great way to give a fresh look to your old pair of jeans.

Materials

  • Wrights® Satin Blanket Binding  (#117-794-090)
    Measure the width of the pant leg and purchase the amount of binding based upon that measurement, plus 1 1/2”
  • Wrights® Jacquard Floral Trim (#184-7008-001)
    Measure the width of the pant leg and purchase the amount of binding based upon that measurement, plus 1 1/2”
  • 1 Straight Leg Cargo Style Jeans
  • Scissors, Iron, Glue, Fusing Strips or
    Needle and Thread

Instructions

  1. Dress up your  jeans from Wrights @ www.wrights.comCut two pieces of blanket binding the width of the pant leg plus 1 1/2 inches.
  2. Press open seam in binding.
  3. Cut four pieces of trim, the length of blanket binding.
  4. Stitch, glue or fuse two pieces of trim to the top and bottom edges of the blanket binding, making a "cuff".
  5. Line bottom of cuff up with bottom hem of pant leg. Stitch, glue or fuse to jeans.
  6. Stitch, glue or fuse the top edge in place on jeans.
  7. Add a colorful scarf or piece of trim through belt loops for the final accent.
